The Laziness of a Minor Party in Australian Politics

Taken Tuesday 13th August in Brisbane CBD
The Australian Independents promote themselves as a party with a high moral standing in everything that they do.

They have a web page that promotes themselves as taking the high moral ground in issues where they have an interest.

They have taken positive stances on many issues, puppy farms, agriculture and support for dairy farmers in Australia and support for Australian Veterans. All highly commendable positions.

They then promote themselves as a party that does not take an extreme position, yet their position on Coal Seam Gas is extreme. "Ban it now", no question, no review and no consideration for any other point of view.  That's somewhat extreme.

Also, take a look at the picture above. This board promotes an anti CSG rally for 3 August 2013. Pity they didn't take the high moral ground about cleaning up after themselves.

This was taken 10 days after the rally.

They need to walk the walk not just talk the talk.
